The Keeper Project is coming to Caloundra in 2025.

Red Chair is currently seeking expressions of interest from local established artists living in and around the Caloundra area who wish to participate in this unique socially engaged live art project.

Each artist is paid to take on the role of The Keeper for three weeks, acting as an ‘archaeologist of local stories’ in a temporary role as observer, collector, maker and storyteller within a community.

Prior to their release ‘into the field’, the ten selected artist Keepers will undertake The Assignment – a three day intensive professional development opportunity with Field Theory artists Jason Maling and Martyn Coutts.

All applicants must be available for The Assignment scheduled for 28-30 March 2025.

An information session for artists will be held at SubTropic studio on Wednesday 7 August 2024 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, please RSVP.

EOI’s are now open until midnight Friday 16 August 2024.

The Keeper Project is produced by Red Chair and developed in collaboration with Field Theory in partnership with Sunshine Coast Council.
